Because of great donors and volunteers like you, Knoxville Christian School has been developing children spiritually, academically, emotionally, and physically with Jesus Christ as their standard for over 40 years.
As an Independent Christian School, we develop our budget around our tuition and charitable contributions. At KCS, we are unique in the way we handle business. We want to be good stewards of our resources and serve as many people as possible. It is our goal to open our doors for any family interested in obtaining a strong academic education in an environment where the bible is the foundation. We have been able to continually teach Christ, develop college prepared students, and grow our extra- curricular programs due to the wise efforts of our board of directors and financial office as well as the continued support of so many individuals, businesses, and churches.
We thank you all for your support of our mission over the last 40 plus years, and as we continue growing and serving the East Tennessee and International population we hope you will desire to be a part of our mission. Please review the rest of the giving pages for even easier ways for you to make a tax-deductible donation to our 501c(3) tax exempt organization.
Our Mission Statement
Knoxville Christian School students have numerous opportunities for spiritual development as they are involved with daily chapel as well as daily bible classes, every class integrates a biblical worldview into the curriculum, the teachers and staff are Christian role models, and the school focuses on community outreach with the goal being to prepare our students to go into the world and spread the good news.
KCS strives to help our students understand emotions as well as teach them to cope with the world in a biblical way. We believe that without God as the center of your life, the world is a challenging place to live with “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” all of the time.
KCS is a college preparatory program and its academic requirements are designed for students to realize their potential and enable students to be successful in higher educational pursuits. Our goal is to prepare students to think critically, research thoroughly, collaborate productively, problem solve efficiently, communicate effectively, and manage projects successfully while keeping Christ first and foremost.
Jesus developed a strong, healthy body. Our bodies are to be instruments of our service (Rom. 12:1; 6:12-13) and temples of God (1 Cor. 6:18-20). There are three essentials to a strong body: eat proper food, exercise moderately (1 Tim. 4:8) and keep it free from diseases. Our faculty and staff are encouraged to teach our students the steps to take care of the physical being in an effort to lead as Christ through humility and humbleness of heart.
The spirit of generosity at Knoxville Christian School is remarkable. Caring parents, grandparents, and community sponsors, and friends have invested in the mission and vision since the school’s founding.
There is something about belonging to the kingdom of God and participating in kingdom work that exponentially enlarges the footprint of our lives. It is not that our fame and glory are increased; in fact, the Lord warns us against giving with those kinds of motives (Mt. 6:2). Rather, it is that the kingdom of God is expanded; His fame, His glory, and the understanding of His Word are magnified. As a school, we have the opportunity to participate in what the Lord is doing in our midst as He builds His kingdom.
We have now graduated and sent out from Knoxville Christian School, generations of students equipped spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically with Jesus Christ as their standard and the Bible as their foundation. We continue to pray that they will be Godly representatives in their community, church and home.
KCS’s budget has always been linked to tuition and donation dollars. Through community and corporate partnerships our goal is to achieve the following:
